Market

Market

The Global Market is the commercial nerve center of Businessgame. CEOs use the market to purchase raw materials required for manufacturing or sell finished products and excess inventory for cash.

1. Dynamic Market Pricing

Prices on the market are dynamic and set automatically by the game's economic system based on macro supply and demand. Players do not set custom unit prices or create custom buyer orders. Every transaction executes instantly at the current prevailing market price.

2. How Buying Goods Works

To acquire raw materials or components on the Global Market, select the desired product and enter the quantity you wish to buy:

  • Cash Validation: You cannot buy more units than your current liquid bank balance can afford.
  • Warehouse Storage Limits: Purchased goods occupy warehouse volume measured in Cubic Meters (CBM). You cannot buy more volume than your remaining free warehouse CBM capacity.
  • Instant Warehouse Delivery: Purchasing goods is instantaneous; purchased items are immediately credited into your warehouse inventory.
  • Waste Certificate Limits: If purchasing waste byproducts (e.g. Trash, Wastewater, Radioactive Waste), your total stored waste volume cannot exceed your active Waste Certificates allowance.

3. How Selling Goods Works

To sell inventory for immediate capital, choose a product from your warehouse stock and specify the quantity to sell:

  • Ownership Limits: You can only sell goods that you currently own in your warehouse stock. You cannot sell items you do not possess.
  • Instant Deduction & Payout: Sold items are deducted immediately from your warehouse stock and cash proceeds are credited instantly to your bank account (minus transport fees).

4. Market Transaction Limits Summary

Operation Primary Action Strict System Safeguards & Settlement Flow
Buying Goods Purchase materials at current market price Cannot exceed available cash, free CBM space, or Waste Cert caps. Settle instantly into warehouse storage.
Selling Goods Sell inventory for cash credit Cannot sell more than currently owned. Deducted immediately from warehouse storage with instant cash payout.

5. Market Sets (Recurring Procurement Presets)

If your corporation regularly buys or sells identical bundles of raw materials or components, you can save them as a Market Set on the Global Market page:

  • Creating a Set: Save a list of products and target quantities (e.g. "1,000 Iron Ore + 500 Coal") under a custom set name for fast recurring procurement.
  • One-Click Bulk Execution: Click Execute Set to instantly initiate the purchase or sale of all items in the set at prevailing market prices.
